That’s why all bleaching should only be performed under careful guidance and supervision from an experienced dentist.
At My Eastwood Dentist, we offer 2 main methods for teeth whitening.
- In-office bleaching – ZOOM – this is an effective and efficient way of whitening teeth for appropriate cases. The gums and lips are meticulously covered for protection, and then the powerful whitening gel is placed on your teeth. The Zoom technology uses a blue light to activate the bleaching material so that dental stains can be broken down in a single treatment lasting approximately 1 hour while you enjoy our in-office entertainment.
- Bleaching trays - A tailor-made tray is precisely moulded and fitted over the teeth, and ONLY the teeth so that there is no damage to the gums. Then the trays are taken home and worn for a predetermined amount of time as discussed by you and our team until the desired shade is achieved. We find that our patients are extremely happy with the result from wearing the trays for 45 minutes per day over approximately 2 weeks. You will be reviewed by our dentist at the start and end of the treatment to ensure that the final shade is perfect and that the health of your gums and teeth are preserved.
